It’s finally here, the most wonderful time of the year! Now that we’ve had our fill of Thanksgiving turkey it’s time to continue celebrating. December is the perfect time to participate in family fun festivities. Luckily, the Thousand Oaks and Conejo Valley community is the perfect place to kick start the holiday season!

 

Friday, November 30th: Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at the Promenade in Westlake

The Promenade at Westlake kicks off its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 7:30pm (postponed form November 16th to better accommodate the community in light of the Borderline and Hill/Woolsey Fire events) with a special performance by holiday supergroup, Band of Merrymakers. The evening will culminate with the arrival of Santa Claus followed by falling snow and the lighting of the 65-foot tall Christmas tree capped with a fireworks finale.

 

Sunday, December 2nd: Silent Santa: Event for Children and Adults with Special Sensitivity Needs

The Collection in Oxnard is overjoyed to host its annual Silent Santa event. The event welcomes children of all ages with Autism, hearing impairment, or other special needs to experience a private visit with Santa. Children and their families will be treated to a quiet and calm experience without crowds, music, jingle bells or additional stimulation. Families will be able to spend quality time with Santa and have their photo taken for memories that will last a lifetime.

Giant Menorah! Dreidel-bot activity! Dazzling Illusions show by Todd Reis! Judah Macabee photo-op! Music & dancing! Latkes! Hanukkah crafts & gifts!
FREE Admission. All are welcome!

 

Sunday, December 2nd: Glow in the Dark Hanukkah Celebration, Newbury Park

Glow in the Dark Hanukkah Celebration on Sunday, December 2nd at the Village Town Center in Dos Vientos, 350 Via Las Brisas, Newbury Park, from 4:30- 6:00 p.m.

Lighting of a Giant Glow in the dark Menorah, Performance by Fantastic Patrick, Music, Kids Crafts, Latkes & Doughnuts & The great Gelt drop. Free admission, all are welcome.

 

Saturday, December 1st-2nd : Snow Days Event at America’s Teaching Zoo in Moorpark

Join us for a winter wonderland! Real snow for you and the animals, hot chocolate, crafts, games and lights galore! On December 1st and 2nd America’s Teaching Zoo will be hosting their annual Snow Days event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry fees are $8 for adults, $6 for children 3-12 and free for ages 2 and under.

 

December 5th,12th,9th : Christmas at the Ranch with Santa at Camarillo Ranch House

The Camarillo Ranch presents its annual Christmas at the Ranch on December 5, 12 and 19, 2018 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Gates close at 7pm.

 

December 14th, 15th : The Bethlehem Experience in Westlake Village

The Bethlehem Experience is returning in 2018 on Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church Westlake Village. Drive through the First Christmas Eve!
